Rolling On – The Best Handful of Tips 74 – Getting STARTED

Getting STARTED

Many people find starting work hard after taking a break. Here are a few trick to get you started.

The five best tips on how to get started after a break

* Before leaving work

          Clean up the majority of your unfinished tasks.

          Tidy your desk before you leave your office.

          Leave one challenging, enjoyable task for when you return to work and set a simple work goal.

 Refresh yourselves during your break

          Enjoy sports, family, social activities and hobbies. Enjoy your holiday and arrive back refreshed.

          Make an effort from checking work e-mails until you get back to work.

          Don’t take work home!

* Early to bed early to rise

          If possible have a quiet evening and get to bed early the night before you return to work. Rise early.

* Give your body a shot of endorphins

          Treat yourself to a good breakfast and a burst of activity such as power walking, jogging, doing exercises or cycling before you arrive at work. Get off the bus early and walk up the stairs.

* Get off to a good start

          Arrive at work early and get started before your colleagues arrive. Greet your colleagues with enthusiasm knowing you are well on the way to completing the enjoyable task you set yourself  before you left.
