Rolling On – The Best Handful of Tips 82 – A Successful CAREER

 A Successful CAREER :

Success occurs when opportunity and preparation meet. Success is ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration.

Success is when you learn to do all things well –  the simple things and the difficult things.

The keys to success are tenacity of purpose, what you know, who you know and the necessary resources.

Five simple tips for a successful career

* Keep learning new skills

In today’s world with its rapidly changing technology, you must make constant learning one of your goals. Commit yourself to a life of on-going personal development.

Keep constantly developing and up-grading  your present skills.

* Take risks and learn from your mistakes

Strive to do every task better next time. We rarely learn from our successes, but you will make real progress if you are prepared to learn from your mistakes.

Evaluate all your tasks and keep asking yourself “How could I do this better if I had to do it again?” If people and organisations followed this simple rule the constant improvements would ensure success.

Experiment and evaluate new ways of doing things. Every person, every organisation and every country is unique. So there are times when you should forget the “gurus” in your business or activity and try experimenting and testing new ways of doing things for yourself.

* Be optimistic and know where you are heading

In your journey through life you must know where you are going and what you want to achieve.

Decide where you would like to be in the future and what you want to achieve. Plan your future and make sure you set your sights high.

Be honest and modest on the way. We all have built-in prejudices and ego problems. By listening to opinions of others we can make big gains in our skills.

* Networking is essential for success

It is often said that who you know is more important than what you know.

Study the work habits of successful people – cultivate those which can help you.

Get yourself some experienced mentors. Join clubs and groups that can help you improve your skills and get known.

* Treat people the way you would like them to treat you

This golden rule, regardless of a person’s race or creed, is still the most important for a satisfying and successful life. It is a key ingredient in your recipe for a successful career.

Success doesn’t depend on what you undertake but on what you finish. If you keep searching  for better ways to do things you will find success.
